The film
What happens in your 32 seconds
- 0:00–0:10
The stranger
Christmas Eve, 50 years on. Your partner sits by a frosted window and gives you the polite smile people give a stranger. You stand in the doorway holding two old mugs.
“Our 50th Christmas. Today, you asked me my name.”
- 0:10–0:17
The ornament
You set one mug down and hang a red glass heart on the dark tree. Its lights come on one by one until the warm light reaches the armchair.
“So I brought back our first one.”
- 0:17–0:32
Remembering
Their eyes find you. A cut to your first Christmas together, young and laughing, then back to the two of you by the lit tree as the sky turns pale.
Photos that work
Works well
- A clear front-facing photo of each of you
- Daylight or soft indoor light
- Your usual hair, beard and glasses, as you want them in the film
- A recent photo, so the older you still looks like you
Avoid
- Sunglasses or anything covering the eyes
- Night photos and heavy filters
- Profiles, tilted heads and tiny faces
- Photos with more than one person in them
How it works
- 01
Add two photos
One photo of you and one of your partner, each a clear, front-facing photo of one adult. The second photo is the one who forgets; swap them if you like.
- 02
Pick the home and pay
Choose the scene, add your names and a year for the end title if you want them, then pay $9.99. You can buy with just your email, no sign-up.
- 03
Get your film
We make you both 50 years older, animate each shot and cut it to music. It takes about 15 minutes, then you download a vertical MP4.
Your photos stay yours
Your photos are used only to make your film. A model reads each photo's head coverings, hair, facial hair and glasses so the older you keeps them, and that note is deleted with the photos, within 3 days. Face matching happens in memory and is never stored. We never use your photos to train AI.
Privacy PolicyWhat the AI Christmas video is
It is Christmas Eve, 50 years from now, in a quiet living room with the lamps off. One of you sits in an armchair by a frosted window. The other comes to the doorway with two chipped mugs and gets back the polite smile people give a stranger. The film is about what happens next.
It is a personalized Christmas video in the plainest sense: the two people in it are you. You upload one photo of each of you, pick the home it happens in, and we make a 32-second vertical film with music and an end title. Every face is made from your photos, not a stock clip with your faces pasted on top.
The story, shot by shot
Shot by shot, this is the film. Two short lines appear on screen, one at the start and one in the middle.
- A stranger’s smile. A close-up by the window, in cold blue light. Your partner turns, smiles politely at someone they don’t know, and looks back at the snow. The first line tells you which Christmas this is, and what they just asked you.
- The doorway. You, in the doorway. The smile falters.
- Two old mugs. A wide shot of the room. You set one mug down beside the armchair. They keep looking out of the window.
- The heart. A close-up of hands and a red glass heart with a gold ribbon, the ornament from your first tree. The second line tells you why it matters.
- The tree lights up. The heart goes on the dark tree, and its lights come on one by one, spreading across the room to the armchair.
- Remembering. The same close-up as the first shot, now in warm light. The eyes focus, and they know you.
- Our first Christmas. A white flash, then the two of you young, laughing, in the place where you spent your first Christmas, with the same red heart on a small tree.
- Every one after. Back in the room at dawn, foreheads touching by the lit tree, swaying as if dancing.
- The window. The house from outside as the snow keeps falling, and the end title: “Our first Christmas”, the year, “and every one after”, and your names if you add them.
Why it is a film and not a card
Most Christmas video makers start from a template: a snowy frame, a dancing figure, your face on top. This film has a story with a turn in it, two people who change over the course of it, and a cut back to the start of it all. The faces are made fresh for each shot from your photos, aged by about 50 years, so the people on screen look like the two of you grown old, not like a filter.
Pick the home it happens in
The story stays the same, but you choose the house it happens in. The snowy cabin cuts back to a tiny first flat with moving boxes and a small tree. The old city flat cuts back to a Christmas market at golden hour. Each scene has its own music and its own view from the window.
Who it is for
Couples who have been together a long time, and couples who hope to be. It works as a gift for a partner, for your parents or grandparents, or as something to send the family instead of a card. Both people in the photos must be adults who agreed to be in the film.
What it can’t do
No AI keeps a face perfect, and aging a face by decades is harder still. Expect a clear likeness with small differences: a nose a little different, a hairline that ages its own way. Side photos, sunglasses, dark pictures and group shots make the result worse. The example films on this page are made from AI-generated people, not customers.
Try it
Add two photos to the tool above and pick the home. We check each photo for one adult face, then you type your email and pay $9.99, one-time, with no subscription. You don’t need to sign up: the email becomes your account, and the film and receipt go there. The film takes about 15 minutes. Photos are deleted within 3 days and we never use them to train AI. Films are kept 3 days, or 30 days once you confirm your email, so download yours early. See pricing for every pack.
Questions
What is the AI Christmas video?
A short film about the two of you, 50 Christmases from now. On Christmas Eve, one of you no longer recognises the other, until a red glass heart on the tree brings back your first Christmas together. You upload two photos and we make the film from them.
How long does it take?
About 15 minutes after you pay. You can leave the page; your film waits for you, and we email you when it is ready.
How much does it cost?
One Christmas film is $9.99, a one-time payment with no subscription. If you already have credits, a Christmas film uses 20 of them.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. You get an MP4 to download, so you can send it to the person it is about, play it at a family dinner or put it on the TV on Christmas morning. You need a photo of each person, and both have to be adults who agreed to be in it. We don't sell gift codes.
Can I send it as a Christmas card?
Yes, as a video card. Download the MP4 and send it by message or email, or post it. We don't print cards or mail anything, so there are no printed cards.
Will it look like us?
Close, not perfect. We make you both about 50 years older, with white or silver hair and lined faces, while keeping your face shape, skin tone and features. Clear, front-facing photos give the closest result.
Is it sad?
It is bittersweet. It touches on memory loss, gently, and it ends with the two of you together by the lit tree. There is no hospital and no illness on screen.
Can I choose the home?
Yes. Pick the scene in the tool above before you pay. The story is the same in each one; the home, the view from the window and the memory of your first Christmas change.
